Where does the Mānuka honey come from?
Northland, Auckland, Waikato and the Coromandel, and from further afield in a poor season. Mānuka flowers for only four to six weeks, at different times depending where in the country you are, so the whole harvest depends on the hives being in the right place for a narrow window. The beekeepers behind ours have been producing it since 1965.
What research is being done?
With funding from MBIE, we’re working with Bioeconomy Science Institute on research into Malosi Energy+. This work is underway and we’ll share what we learn.
