The Malosi mark

The mark

Two forms, woven together

Inspired in part by the visual language of Samoan tatau, the Malosi Energy+ mark brings two forms together in a woven expression of strength. Shaped from parallel strands and tapered at the edges, together they form an M.

Nothing in it stands alone.

Good to know.

Questions.

The things people ask us most. If yours is not here, email us and we will answer it.

What are the ingredients?

Carbonated New Zealand Water, Juices from Concentrate (Beetroot (5%), NZ Blackcurrant (3%)), NZ Mānuka Honey (2%), Natural Sweeteners (Erythritol, Steviol Glycosides), L-citrulline, Mineral Salts (Potassium Citrate, Magnesium Sulphate), Acidity Regulator (Citric Acid), Natural Flavours, Oxifend® Sport (Grapeseed and Blackcurrant Extract) (0.1%), Natural Caffeine.

What does "supplemented food" mean?

In New Zealand, a supplemented food is a food or drink that has had ingredients such as vitamins, minerals or amino acids added to it, and is regulated under the New Zealand Supplemented Food Standard by the Ministry for Primary Industries. Malosi Energy+ carries the words "supplemented food" on the can because that is the category it belongs to. It is a drink, not a dietary supplement.

Is Malosi Energy+ suitable for children or during pregnancy?

No. Malosi Energy+ contains caffeine. It is not recommended for children, pregnant or lactating women, or people who are sensitive to caffeine. We recommend no more than two cans a day. If you are unsure whether it is right for you, talk to your doctor.

How much caffeine is in a can, and where does it come from?

Each 250 mL can contains 80 mg of caffeine, about the same as a flat white. It is natural caffeine extracted from coffee beans, not synthetic caffeine.

How much sugar is in a can?

6 g per 250 mL can, which is 2.4 g per 100 mL and within the "low sugar" definition for drinks. Sweetened with New Zealand mānuka honey, erythritol and stevia.

What is Oxifend® Sport?

Oxifend® Sport is a single ingredient made from two New Zealand crops: blackcurrant extract and grapeseed extract from sauvignon blanc grapes. It is made in New Zealand and it is one of the reasons we can say the drink is built from ingredients grown here.

What else is in it?

New Zealand sparkling water, New Zealand blackcurrant juice, New Zealand mānuka honey, L-citrulline (1,840 mg per can), magnesium and potassium, natural caffeine, natural flavours and natural sweeteners. The full ingredient list and nutrition information panel are further down this page and on every can.

Is it vegan?

No. Malosi Energy+ is sweetened with New Zealand mānuka honey, so it is not suitable for a vegan diet. If you have a specific allergy or dietary need, please check the ingredient list on the can before drinking.
