Our Approach
I'm Ngāti Porou. Kaitiakitanga isn't a policy we adopted, it's an obligation I grew up with.
In practice that's mostly small decisions nobody notices. Recyclable pottles rather than compostable ones that don't break down. Steel scoops rather than plastic ones that outlive everybody.
We're not finished. This is what we've done so far.

Packaging with Purpose
Our pottles are made from 100% recyclable HDPE (♴2) and lids from 100% recyclable PP (♷5) — food-safe, durable, and widely accepted in New Zealand kerbside recycling. Simply remove the label, rinse, and place them in your recycling bin.
We’ve chosen this packaging because it’s reliable, safe, and compliant with New Zealand regulations. While some biodegradable or compostable options don’t always break down properly in landfill, recyclable pottles give us a more consistent and responsible solution.
We’ve also phased out single-use plastic scoops. Instead, we offer reusable steel Mana Scoops — elegant, practical, and designed to stay out of landfill.
Local & Natural Ingredients
Local & Natural Ingredients: We prioritise New Zealand-grown superfoods, reducing transport emissions and supporting local growers.
All products are manufactured in a New Zealand GMP-certified facility: ensuring quality, safety and compliance with international standards.
Waste Reduction
We avoid unnecessary packaging - our products aren’t wrapped in tissue or fillers you don’t need. Orders are shipped in compostable courier bags, keeping things minimal while protecting your order.
